HIGH SNOBIETY: Iggy Azalea
We met up with the Australian rapper Amethyst Amelia Kelly aka Iggy Azalea, who just two days ago announced that she’s going on Beyoncè’s ”Mrs. Carter World Tour,” for a very relaxed photo shoot and a little heart to heart.
The blonde beauty with the pouty lips and almond eyes has been living in the U.S. for a few years now but her accent is with no doubt still very Aussie. On a personal note, I find this significantly likeable and professionally it connects her with the Australian fans in a remarkable way. “I don’t get a lot of comments on my accent from the people in the U.S. but the Australians love it.”
What we love is that Iggy is amazingly real. Behind her fake nails and perfect makeup she shows herself approachable and open-minded. “Most people just ask me, is that your face?” she says faking a thick American accent, noticeably happy when I identify the tattoo on her lower arm as a simplified cartoon-style head of The Birth of Venus by Botticelli.
While we’re shooting and talking, she tells me that one thing she’d really like to be good at is cooking: “I eat out a lot. I can’t cook, but I’d really love to be a good chef. I would totally do the whole thing, wear an apron (laughs) and have dinner parties. Then everybody would be like: ‘This is delicious!’ (gesticulating) And I’d be: ‘Well thank you, I made this!’”
In terms of music, the artist who Iggy would definitely love to work with is Missy Eliott because she considers her an amazing lyricist. Iggy’s own lyrics are tough, she doesn’t hide emotions behind a clean pop-music language, she is a rapper

JAY Z: Barney's Holiday Collaboration
Luxury New York retailer, Barneys, is amidst rumours about a potential collaboration with hip-hop’s business man, Jay Z, one that might reach shelves as soon as the store’s upcoming holiday campaign. Although talks of the collaboration are yet to be addressed officially by either party, Hov’s image and music have often fused into his care for style, with tracks such as “Tom Ford” further securing his status as a fashion forward artist.

BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB: Berlin Fashion Week
The sun was shining and the Patron was flowing while DJ’s Seb Chew and Leo Greenslade set the scene at the recent Pharrell Williams-hosted Billionaire Boys Club EU party. Taking place as part of Berlin Fashion Week, at the Seek Exhibition Trade Show, the “a number of names*” event was attended by an impressive international fashion crowd that included the likes of Poggy, NIGO, Mark McNairy, Kevin Poon, the Patta crew and many others.
DAVE ORTIZ: 20 Year Retrospective
A graffiti art icon, an original member of Zoo York, and founder of DQM — Dave Ortiz is the latest featured artist at ArtNowNY. Best known for his ability to bridge the worlds of fine and street art, the exhibit will be showcasing his artwork from the last 20 years, and is the first solo gallery exhibit for the artist in a decade.

APC: Kanye West Capsule Collection
Having been a frequent attendee of various fashion weeks around the globe and having even designed his own womenswear line, the latest in the artist’s repertoire arrives as a teaser of an upcoming collaboration with A.P.C. While little is known of the venture thus far, the A.P.C. Journal and Instagram feed are stating a July 14 release for the Kanye Capsule Collection.

BALMAIN: Fall 2013
Fusing eastern easthetics with western tailoring, storied French fashion house Balmain busted out a compelling proposition for their upcoming Fall/Winter 2013 season. The distinct looks are made up of classic pieces given a distinct asian spin, resulting in pieces such as beaded tuxedo jackets, roomy leather jackets, Kimono inspired coats, oriental drop crotch pants and – the collections crowning piece – an elaborately crafted gilded jacket.

MASERATI: 2013 Gran Turismo
Maserati has just unveiled the 2013 GranTurismo MC Stradale ahead of its upcoming debut at the Geneva International Motor Show. The 2+2 coupe takes the V8 engine from the GranTurismo Sport and boasts 460 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The updated bodywork is now leaner and more taught, giving the car a more muscular and aggressive stance; completing the aggressive look is the central air intake in the carbon fiber hood. Expect the latest Stradale to hit a top speed of 188mph. Look for the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale to hit the streets later this year.
